These are the central elements of our belief:
1. The Priesthood of all Believers
We believe that every believer has the gifts, inspiration, and responsibility to be active in the ministry of his or her calling. Yes, some have been set apart for ordained ministry, but all have been called to use their gifts and talents to build his kingdom and share their faith with others
2. A Welcoming Spirit
Nothing is more important to us than that everyone who engages with our ministry, whether in-person or virtual, knows that they are welcomed into this space. Whoever you are and wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcomed here!
3. Unity in the Body Of Christ
On the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was gifted to the church, the Bible says “they were all in one place, on one accord.” The strength of the church is unity even in our diversity. We all bring our distinct individual expressions of faith to the very same God for the unifying work of Kingdom building.
4. The Bible is our Chief Authority
Our first question when faced with a decision is “what does the Bible say?” The guiding document of our church is the Bible. Our teaching, preaching, worship, and ministry are rooted in the word of God. The Bible is the basis for all we believe.
5. Tithing
We believe that each of us are called to support the local church with our time, talent, and treasure. The Bible calls for each of us to give 10% (or tithe) of our resources. This is a Godly and fair way of giving where the sacrifice of each person, regardless of amount, is the same.
6. The Trinity
We believe that God’s relationship with humanity has been in three personalities, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. One God, three natures. There is God’s creative and sustaining power (Father), God coming to earth in flesh as a sacrifice for our sins (Son), and the breath of God that moves in and among all creation (Holy Spirit).
